From December 20th to January 10th, Uzbekistan will host “Current 20 Days of Improvement and Cleanliness”, an initiative of the National Ecology Committee Chairman Aziz Abduhakimov.
A republican working headquarters has been established under the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency, and during the event, all territories will be cleaned of solid household waste by sanitary cleaning enterprises.
Additionally, measures will be taken to maintain cleanliness in neighborhood territories, prevent waste accumulation during holidays, and strictly adhere to timely waste removal schedules.
The purpose of the “Topical 20 Days” is to create a festive mood among the population during the New Year celebrations, maintain environmental cleanliness, and contribute to the further improvement of the ecological situation.
In this regard, we ask individuals and legal entities to treat the environment with care when handling waste, including not throwing waste in unauthorized places. We remind you that any environmental violations entail liability in the manner prescribed by law, — the message says.
Uzbek citizens can submit complaints and suggestions regarding waste management and the quality of services provided to the 24/7 short number 1205 of the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency.
