On December 16, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the economic and social development of Tashkent.

The President announced plans to build new “cities” similar to Tashkent City. The complexes will be built in Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, and Almazar districts, with an investment of $2.5 billion.

The President spoke in more detail about the construction of “Uchtepa City” in the city’s Uchtepa district, with plans to build modern hotels, a business center, a shopping and entertainment complex, and residential apartments on 37 hectares. All this is for a billion dollars.

It was also determined that Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, Shaykhantakhur, and Almazar districts will be specialized in the service sector, creative economy, design, and tourism.

Mirzo-Ulugbek, Yunusobod, Mirobod, and Yashnobod districts will develop projects in artificial intelligence, startups, fintech, finance, medicine, and education. Another billion dollars will be spent on this.

Earlier at the meeting, the president promised that every resident of the city would earn $15 thousand annually by 2030.
