On December 11, dense fog restricted the reception of aircraft at the Fergana region airport, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reports.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, particularly fog, the crew of flight C63034 from Medina to Fergana was unable to land at the Fergana airport. As a result, the aircraft commander decided to direct the aircraft to a backup airfield in Tashkent.
It should be noted that on December 10, after 19:00, Uzbekistan was covered by dense fog. Experts emphasize that it’s not dust and couldn’t — three days of heavy rain have completely cleared the air of dust and other small particles. According to the forecasters, the current phenomenon is the result of a macrosynoptic situation.
