On December 9, the State Environmental Control Inspectorate, together with employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, and the Department of Internal Affairs, conducted regular inspections in the Kibray, Zangiata, Verkhnechirchik, Yangiyul, and Tashkent districts of the Tashkent region, as well as in Tashkent.

During the raid activities, 3222 facilities have been inspected since they began. Within the framework of the study from November 25 to December 9:

  • 895 cases of offenses were identified and documents on administrative cases were drawn up;
  • the activities of 75 facilities in Tashkent and Tashkent region were suspended for 10 days for violation of legislation and environmental pollution;
  • 37 greenhouse facilities have been equipped with filters;
  • 6 greenhouse facilities have been connected to the gas network, and applications have been submitted from 7 facilities to obtain technical conditions for connecting to the gas network.

Responsible authorities continue to conduct regular raids.

Earlier, it was reported that dust from external regions had become one of the main causes of air pollution in Uzbekistan. Due to fog, cold, and lack of wind, hazardous particles do not disperse.
