On December 11-12, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of the country’s Arkadag, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, according to the president’s press service.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the participation of the head of state is planned in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s declaration of permanent neutrality, the International Day of Neutrality, and the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The event will be held in Ashgabat and will also be attended by heads of foreign states and governments, heads of international and regional organizations. The President will speak at the plenary session of the forum on the topic “Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future”. Within the framework of the summit, the head of Uzbekistan will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.

Recall that Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan identified key priorities for joint work in a number of areas. The parties plan to bring the joint trade turnover to $2 billion.
