A complaint circulated on social media alleging that a greenhouse in the Kayilma neighborhood of Parkent district was operating in violation of current environmental legislation and polluting the air.
The situation was investigated on-site by employees of the State Environmental Control Inspection and the Tashkent Regional Department of Ecology and Climate Change. During the inspection, it was revealed that in four boiler houses of the greenhouse, the filtration equipment was faulty.
According to the working group, the reason for this situation was the accumulation of water in the coal furnace due to precipitation, as a result of which the coal did not burn completely, and the efficiency of the installed filter was insufficient.
On this fact, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the head of the greenhouse under the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the enterprise’s activities were temporarily suspended.
In addition, a malfunction of the installed filter was recorded in another greenhouse in the Parkent district, for which the head of the enterprise was brought to administrative responsibility. He was given instructions to eliminate the identified violations.
