Uzbekistan condemned Israel for bombing the capital of Qatar

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement.

On 9 September, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan issued an official statement in response to the Israeli armed forces’ strike on Doha, the capital of Qatar.

The Republic condemns Israel’s strikes on a residential area in Doha, viewing them as a breach of Qatar’s sovereignty and an infringement on its borders and security.

Such actions are unacceptable and represent a serious disregard for the UN Charter, as well as fundamental norms and principles of international law, — the statement said.

The statement notes that Uzbekistan consistently opposes any forms of using force in international relations and steps that exacerbate the already complex situation in the Middle East.

According to Times of Israel, Hamas negotiator Khalil al-Hayya was hit. There was also the head of the West Bank organization, Zaher Jabarin, and several other high-ranking Islamists.

Earlier, Israel launched a special military operation to capture the city of Gaza against the backdrop of US-mediated ceasefire negotiations with Hamas in exchange for the release of hostages.

Qatar and the United Arab Emirates described Israel’s attack as “outrageous” and “cowardly”.
