Kazakhstan temporarily banned the import of fresh chicken eggs from third countries, as well as from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, according to the order of the Minister of Agriculture of the republic.
The authorities banned the import of fresh chicken eggs by all modes of transport for one month. The authorities banned the import of eggs from both third countries and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union.
It is noted that the ban also affected the transit of eggs through Kazakhstan, as well as their movement from the territory of one member state of the Eurasian Economic Union to the territory of another member state of the Eurasian Economic Union through the country. According to the order of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, such measures are aimed at supporting domestic producers.
