The Ministry of Health held a meeting to study appeals from citizens and medical workers related to the launch of the “Electronic Prescription” experimental system on the DMED platform in Uzbekistan, as reported by the ministry’s press service.
According to the information, during the discussions, specialists paid special attention to the problems faced by patients and polyclinics. In particular, one of such problems was the queues and increased workload on medical institutions. In addition, the department representatives discussed the issues of obtaining medicines and the stability of digital services.
It is noted that all proposals and comments received from the public are considered as a matter of priority. After that, based on the collected data, the Ministry of Health will prepare and publish preliminary clarifications on key issues concerning public representatives.
It should be noted that an experiment to implement the “Electronic prescription” system began in the capital on December 10, 2025. By the end of 2026, authorities plan to connect all medical institutions and pharmacies in the country to the system, and from January 2027, the complete transition to electronic prescriptions will become mandatory.
