Air quality persists in worsening in Tashkent

Allergy sufferers are advised to avoid exercising outdoors and to wear masks.

On September 9, the level of fine particulate matter PM2.5 was 24 μg/m³, which is 4.8 times higher than the WHO recommended level, according to IQAir data.

Therefore, as of 08:00, the levels of ozone pollutants and PM10 in Tashkent’s air remained below the maximum permitted limits. However, the concentration of hazardous particles PM2.5 surpassed the WHO standard by 4.8 times. Air quality is rated as average.

It should be reminded that Uzbekistan was not on the list of countries meeting WHO air quality standards. The Swiss company IQAir showed a report for 2024.
