AI will begin monitoring schoolchildren in Tashkent
The cameras will observe even the psychological condition.

Tashkent city mayor Shavkat Umurzakov signed a decree on measures to further enhance the quality of education and standardise student attendance in general education schools.
The document is based on the instructions from the president and the appeal of the deputy mayor of the capital concerning youth policy, social development, and spiritual and educational work.
It was proposed to make the capital’s schools “Smart”. As part of the project, cameras will be installed in school classrooms with an electronic system that will constantly monitor the quality of education and student attendance.
Additionally, cameras will record students’ psychological states using artificial intelligence, as well as evaluate students’ interests in subjects and teachers’ pedagogical potential. The camera mechanism is not specified in the governor’s decree.
At the initial stage, the programme will be implemented in the 10th and 11th grades. Firstly, a pilot project will be conducted in 31 schools in the Almazar district for 250 students.
