A gastronomic street will emerge in the Parkent district

A street dedicated to gastronomy, similar to Taras Shevchenko Street, will be established in the Parkent district. This was announced by Anvar Sayfutdinov, the khokim of the Mirobod district, in an interview with the “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel.

According to Sayfutdinov, the president instructed to assign the districts of the capital to the districts of Tashkent region. In particular, the district khokimiyats of the capital should introduce their experience in the districts of the region.

After the launch of Taras Shevchenko’s tourist street, the flow of tourists there has increased by at least three times. In the first six months of 2024, 62 entrepreneurs on this street generated 152 billion soums in revenue.

In 2025, after the opening of the gas street, the figure grew by another 66 billion and reached 218 billion soums. Budget revenues increased by 10 billion soums – from 38 to 48 billion soums. We intend to implement this experience in both the cities and districts of the Tashkent region, — Sayfutdinov stated.

According to him, a territory will be selected and a gastronomic street will be created in the Parkent district, which is attached to the Mirobod hokimiyat. It is also planned to implement a project to create a viticulture house together with the Parkent Hokimiyat, within the framework of which it is proposed to create a center designed for 2−2.5 thousand jobs.

Earlier, it was reported that hundreds of “round-the-clock” streets could appear in Uzbekistan. It was proposed to introduce the position of “night economy managers” in the khokimiyats.
