Uzbekistan’s judokas secured silver medals in the mixed team event
The athletes were defeated by the representatives of the martial arts homeland in the final.

Uzbekistan’s judokas claimed silver medals in the team mixed event at the World Junior Championships, the NOC press service reports.
The tournament was held in the Bulgarian city of Sofia. On 31 August, the strongest teams in the mixed team category were determined. In the qualifying round, the Uzbekistan national team defeated France, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, and faced Japan in the final.
The decisive match concluded with victory for the judokas representing their homeland of judo, and the Uzbekistan team secured second place. In individual events, the judokas claimed five gold and two bronze medals, ranking first in the overall team standings.
Earlier, it was reported that Diyora Keldiyerova’s victory over Japan’s Uta Abe could be the “Year Event”. In Paris, the International Judo Federation summed up the results of last season and presented awards.
