Teachers’ salaries of $1000 have become reality — president
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that his words about increasing teachers' salaries have come true within three years.
On 9 September, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a government meeting on reforming the preschool and school education system.
The President noted the rise in teachers’ salaries who are enhancing their qualifications and can receive more than 10 different allowances on top of the basic rate.
Note that currently, more than 60,000 teachers working on themselves receive 10-12 million soums in salaries. When did this start? Since September, the salaries of school principals, kindergarten directors, and their deputies have also exceeded 10 million soums.
In 300 out of 1,500 schools that have adopted a new assessment system and achieved positive results, the entire team receives a bonus of up to 40%. My words about teachers’ salaries reaching one thousand dollars in three years have come true, — the head of state emphasised.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that the country’s future development hinges solely on education and teachers. He noted that significant conditions have been established for teachers — such as the construction and equipping of kindergartens and schools, attracting foreign specialists, and introducing modern textbooks and educational programmes — and this work will continue.
Every district and regional governor, as well as the heads of kindergartens, schools, technical colleges, and universities entrusted with caring for our children, must clearly understand one fundamental truth. For our people to prosper, the economy must be robust! This requires new goods, new services, and new technologies! We can only achieve this through a high-quality education system! There is no other way! If a leader recognises this and works tirelessly every day, positive changes and results will undoubtedly follow in their district, kindergarten, school, technical college, university — Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded.
