The man harassed his daughter-in-law, exposed himself to her, and solicited intimate relations.

In the Beruniy district of Karakalpakstan, a man interrogated his daughter-in-law, demonstrating her genitals and suggesting that she engage in sexual intercourse, reports the NeMolchi project.

The incident took place on 27 August. The father-in-law, while intoxicated, exposed his genitals to the girl and implied that her daughter-in-law should engage in sex. The daughter-in-law contacted the police, who, upon arriving at the scene, faced resistance from the man: he was shouting and cursing at the victim with his mother.

In the testimony, the girl reported that such behavior of the father-in-law is not the only act. Previously, he had repeatedly humiliated her mother, but she endured for the sake of preserving her family with her husband.

At the trial, the man admitted his guilt, showed remorse for his actions, and promised not to do such a thing again. He justified his actions by his lack of understanding caused by alcohol intoxication.

On September 5, the Beruniy District Criminal Court found him guilty of committing offenses under Articles 41-1 (Sexual harassment), 183 (Petty hooliganism), and 194 (Failure to comply with the lawful demands of an internal affairs officer) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.

Earlier, it was reported that in Tashkent, a young man questioned a woman and was detained for five days. In court, the defendant declared that he “did not control his actions”.
