Teacher in Kashkadarya Tried to Sell Exam Answers to Students

On June 11, reports surfaced on social media that a teacher in Kashkadarya tried to sell exam answers to students. The regional Department of Preschool and School Education commented on the incident.
The incident occurred on May 28 at School No. 35 in Kukdala district, Kashkadarya region. According to Kun, during the Mother Tongue and Literature exam, the teacher attempted to sell the exam answers to students, stating that the price for 6 sheets was 5,000 soums.
According to The regional Department of Preschool and School Education, before the state exam, the teacher showed 11th-grade graduates copies of the exam answers, advising them to study the material thoroughly and strengthen their knowledge.
He said that the answers were sold by a computer service provider, and anyone interested could purchase them for 5,000 soums. Disciplinary measures were taken against the school principal for the identified violations. The teacher, who was filmed in the video, was dismissed, the report says.
Earlier reports indicated that Uzbek students have been performing better on exams, with the average score increasing significantly over the past five years.
