During raids in two cities of Uzbekistan, law enforcement officers were able to detain citizens engaged in the sale, transportation, and purchase of narcotic substances, the State Security Service press service reported.

According to the information, the first arrests of the guards were carried out in the Uchtepa district. It was revealed that a 25-year-old local resident was selling synthetic drugs through the Telegram messenger. During the operation, law enforcement officers found 225 grams of the synthetic drug “alpha-PVP” in his possession.

Later, law enforcement officers also detained his acquaintance, from whom they found 2 packages of the potent drug “Regapen”. During the investigation, law enforcement officers found that the man had purchased the drug from one of the pharmacies in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district. As a result, law enforcement officers were also able to detain a pharmacy seller while selling another 14 packages of “Regapen” for 1.2 million soums.

In addition, during the inspection of the pharmacy warehouse, specialists seized 20,200 packages of “Gabaten”, 823 packages of “Regapen”, 100 packages of “Galara”, 4 packages of “Torgabalin” and other preparations containing potent substances, for which there were no relevant documents, as material evidence.

Further, during another operational event in Surkhandarya region, law enforcement officers detained a 40-year-old Termez resident while transporting 50 kg 978 g of hashish in his car. During the search of the car, law enforcement officers found another 186 grams of narcotic substance in it. Specialists also detained his accomplice.

Law enforcement officers discovered that the men planned to sell drugs brought into Uzbekistan by Afghan drug couriers. At the same time, one of the violators had previously been convicted of a crime related to drug trafficking, and the other — for fraud. As a result, law enforcement officers initiated criminal cases against all detainees under relevant articles and detained them.

Earlier, it was reported that an attempt to smuggle drugs from Kyrgyzstan was stopped in Tashkent. Citizens were caught smuggling substances from Andijan to the capital.
