In Tashkent, a Matiz driver who began harassing his passenger, touching her and making indecent comments about her body was imprisoned for five days, according to the court’s decision.

According to the information, the incident occurred on December 1st. The Matiz driver, who was carrying the passenger, started making indecent remarks about her, as well as grabbing her hand and foot. After the incident, the victim filed a complaint with law enforcement. During the detention and escort to the DIA building, the man also committed minor hooliganism and did not comply with law enforcement requirements.

As a result, the Uchtepa District Criminal Court, having taken into account all the evidence and testimony of the parties, found the man guilty under part 1 of Article 41-1 (Sexual harassment), Article 183 (Petty hooliganism), and part 1 of Article 194 (Failure to comply with the lawful demands of an internal affairs officer) and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest, a fine of 3 BCV, and a fine of 5 BCV. The final punishment is 5 days of administrative arrest.
