At the Almaty airport, an Uzbek man joked about the bomb and sparked an emergency situation, “Kursiv” reports.
The incident took place on September 2nd at the registration desk. The man jested that he had an atomic bomb in his luggage. Transport police officers regarded the 18-year-old’s joke as a breach of public order and the peace of citizens. The Uzbek national was fined 78,000 tenge (1.8 million soums) for petty hooliganism.
Remember that at Almaty airport, a man set himself alight in the terminal. A possible motive could have been an argument with a spouse. The individual was taken to the city hospital with burns. The Transport Police Department has opened a criminal case.
