In Tashkent and Tashkent region, environmentalists and law enforcement officers conducted raids in greenhouses, which is causing air quality to deteriorate, the press service of the capital’s administration reports.
A working group led by Deputy Prosecutor General Sherzod Tukhtaboev, with the participation of representatives from environmental services, the city administration, the sanitary service, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, conducted ecological raids and inspections of greenhouse farms in Tashkent and Tashkent region, including in the Zangiata district.
The raids are aimed at identifying sources of atmospheric air pollution, ensuring compliance with environmental and sanitary standards, taking measures against violators, as well as preventing the recurrence of such cases and improving the environmental situation in the capital and the region, — the report says.
