The White House administration in the US wants to increase the reward for illegal migrants who voluntarily leave the country, according to the country’s Interior Minister, Christie Noem.
According to the information, authorities plan to pay up to 3 thousand dollars to illegal individuals who apply for self-deportation by the end of 2025. The government also plans to pay migrants for plane tickets and write off fines and other penalties for violations of migration legislation.
This Christmas season, American taxpayers have generously tripled the incentive for illegal migrants to leave the country voluntarily. Until the end of the year, illegal migrants who independently deport themselves using the CBP Home App application will be able to receive a bonus of 3 thousand dollars, — she noted.
It is noted that since the beginning of 2025, 1.9 million illegal migrants have taken advantage of the opportunity to self-deport to the USA. It’s worth noting that US authorities had previously promised to pay $1,000 for this. To return to their homeland, migrants themselves registered in the CBP Home mobile application.
