During the New Year holidays from December 24th to 31st, Uzbekistan will experience predominantly winter weather with alternating frosts, precipitation, and fog, according to the Uzhydromet press service.

Partly cloudy is expected across most of the country. In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm, snow is expected on certain days, accompanied by rain in some areas. By the end of December, the temperature at night may drop to 10 degrees below zero, during the day — around 0 or slightly negative values. East wind shifting to west, gusts up to 12 m/s. Fog possible in some areas.

In the Bukhara and Navoi regions, no precipitation. In the north of Navoi region, colder weather with night frosts of -10° will persist. During the day, the temperature will fluctuate within 2-7°C, and by the end of the month, it will become cooler. Fog is possible in the morning hours.

In Tashkent region, the weather will be rainy and snowy on certain days, with snow expected in some areas as New Year approaches. Nighttime temperatures near zero with a slight downturn, daytime temperatures 2-7°C. Fog is also forecasted. In Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, precipitation is possible at the end of the month, mainly in the form of wet snow and snow. Daytime temperatures will reach 10°C, with 2-7°C expected by the New Year.

In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, the weather will be milder. Precipitation is possible only on certain days, with nighttime temperatures between -2°C and +3°C, and daytime temperatures up to 12°C, with a slight decrease towards the end of December. Dry weather will persist in the Fergana Valley. Precipitation is possible closer to December 29-31. East wind 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night 0-5°C, in the daytime 3-8°C. Wind up to 10 m/s.

In the mountainous regions of the republic, snow is expected from December 26, with black ice on the roads. Temperature at night may drop to -13°C, during the day from light frost to +5°C.
