On December 18, the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation announced the introduction of discounts on air and train tickets.
Students can purchase tickets with a 50% discount for the winter holidays and the New Year. Train tickets can be purchased until January 12, and the discount applies to all domestic passenger trains (except for SV/VIP class cars and the Afrosiyob high-speed electric train).
To purchase tickets, students can visit railway ticket offices with their identification documents or use the eticket.railway.uz website to purchase tickets electronically. You can also use apps for iOS and Android.
Discounted airline tickets are also valid only for domestic flights through Uzbekistan Airways, they can be purchased until January 11 at the airline’s sales branch in Tashkent, from agents in Uzbekistan, and on the website.
The discount is provided on the basis of a document confirming education in state educational institutions.
