In January-October 2025, 26.4 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for study, which is almost 19% less than a year earlier, the press service of the National Statistics Committee reports.
According to the agency, the CIS and Asian countries are the most popular among Uzbeks. The leaders are Russia (5863 people), Tajikistan (5761) and Kyrgyzstan (3835). Other destinations include South Korea (3344), Turkey (2256), China (1186), Kazakhstan (1014), Great Britain (839), Germany (366), and the USA (318).
The decrease in the number of trips is due to changes in educational programs abroad, as well as the strengthening of domestic educational potential in Uzbekistan, — the report says.
