Uzbekistan and Romania may sign an intergovernmental agreement in the field of migration, which can help employees find work, reports “Dunyo”.

According to the information, this option was discussed by the parties during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Olim Abdullayev, and the Ambassador of Romania, Daniel Cristian Chobanu.

During the meeting, representatives of the two countries studied bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration and considered the possibility of signing a corresponding agreement. In addition, the parties discussed issues of countering illegal migration and organizing consular consultations.

The representatives of the two countries also confirmed their interest in continuing a systematic dialogue and agreed to implement joint cooperation measures.

Earlier, it was reported that Romania would contribute to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union. Ambassador Daniel Christian Chobanu spoke about relations with Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
