In Uzbekistan, the legal status and regime of ecologically clean territories will be consolidated, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reports.
The deputies reviewed in the second reading the draft law aimed at defining the legal status of ecologically clean territories. The document is aimed at establishing the status and regime of ecologically clean territories, as well as regulating the circulation of plastic products in these territories.
The draft law provides for the equipping of wastewater treatment facilities of production facilities and car washes of business entities that generate wastewater as a result of their activities in territories where the ecologically clean zone regime is in effect.
A requirement is being established for the connection of treated wastewater to sewage networks or the creation of alternative structures for their collection, the introduction of water circulation systems, and their efficient use. In addition, the construction and operation of industrial facilities that have a negative impact on natural objects and complexes are prohibited.
It is also envisaged to introduce a restriction on the circulation of disposable plastic products, with the exception of products made of natural organic polymers. The draft law was adopted by the deputies and sent to the Senate.
