Uzbekistan plans to digitize all literature and data in the Uzbek language, as well as create an “Uzbek Language Corpus” to develop AI that reflects national values, the presidential press secretary said.

Within the framework of the meeting, the head of state noted that for effective work with materials in the Uzbek language, artificial intelligence programs must perfectly understand it. However, currently, most of the literature, information, articles, reports, and scientific works in Uzbek are not digitized, and those materials that are still translated into electronic form are stored in scattered sources.

In this regard, the president instructed the Cabinet to approve a schedule for transferring data from all ministries and agencies to electronic format, and the Ministry of Digital Technologies to create an “Uzbek Language Corpus” so that AI can reflect the national and cultural identity of the country. By the end of 2026, the authorities plan to launch the Data Lake platform, which will allow collecting, processing, analyzing, and using large volumes of digital data.

Earlier, it was reported that those who do not speak the state language will be able to speak Uzbek thanks to AI. Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on additional measures for the further development of the state language.
