An information system will appear in Uzbekistan that will allow users to create their own genealogical tree and search for information about their relatives, according to the presidential meeting.
It is planned that the “Shajara” system will allow users to search for information about birth, marriage and death, as well as distant relatives based on genetic data. In addition, the authorities discussed the modernization of archival affairs. In particular, it was noted that currently, 16 million storage units, including 1.3 million especially valuable and rare documents, are stored in archives.
Also, the archives of the Bukhara Emir’s Kushbegi Chancellery and the Khiva Khanate Chancellery were included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register.
