In Navoi region, law enforcement officers detained a schoolboy who, while intoxicated, was driving a Malibu-2 and organizing a race with traffic police officers, the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the information, the incident occurred at the “Samarkand” checkpoint. While on duty, law enforcement officers tried to stop the car by giving a corresponding signal, but the driver ignored it and tried to flee. After a short pursuit, law enforcement officers were able to stop the vehicle.

During the inspection, law enforcement officers found that the car was driven by a 16-year-old teenager who did not have a driver’s license and was also intoxicated. An adult acquaintance of the schoolboy and the car owner, who was also intoxicated, told law enforcement that he handed over the control to the boy right before the post.

It turned out that the citizens were traveling along the Navoi—Samarkand route. Law enforcement officers initiated proceedings against both offenders and took appropriate measures, as well as conducted a preventive conversation.

Earlier, it was reported that in Andijan, a teenager got behind the wheel of a Spark and overturned. The young man lost control of his relative’s car, and an investigation began.
