In the Syrdarya region, a security guard at the “Museum of Victims of Repression” was detained for harassment for 5 days, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.

The incident occurred on September 21 in Gulistan. A 63-year-old security guard at the “Museum of Victims of Repression” at Gulistan State University committed indecent acts against a visiting student, grabbing her by the shoulder and arm.

In court, the defendant stated that he had taken the girl by the shoulder “like his own child” to ask her to step aside, and that he had not committed any indecent acts. By court decision, the museum’s security guard was found guilty under Article 41-1 (Sexual harassment) of the Administrative Code. He was given 5 days of arrest.
