“Beautiful” numbers are now available for Uzbeks at fixed prices.
The State Traffic Safety Department announced the cost of license plates that were previously sold for billions of soums.
Now, citizens will be able to purchase license plates that were previously sold at auction for huge sums of money at a fixed price, the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reports.
Uzbekistanis will be able to purchase license plates through the Safe Road YHXX mobile application. Numbers from 1 to 3 categories, previously put up for auction and not sold, are already available in the application. The cost amounted to 7 million soums for individuals and 10.3 million soums for legal entities.
Earlier, it was reported that from October 1, “beautiful” numbers in Uzbekistan will stop being sold at auctions. Instead, citizens will be issued numbers with custom-made letter and number combinations based on an electronic application. The number plates from the 1st to the 3rd categories will be sold directly to “Uzavtomotobelgi” for a single increased fee.
