An innovative palm-to-palm payment system has been launched at dozens of metro stations in Tashkent, according to the capital’s metro press service.
According to the information, it has now been installed at 29 metro stations. At the same time, about 200-250 thousand passengers use the system daily.
It is noted that the handprint biometric identification registration procedure takes only about 5 minutes. Experts believe that the implementation of such a technology will significantly reduce queues and save passengers’ time.
Earlier, it was reported that second lobbies would open at four metro stations in Tashkent. The reason for the opening was the increase in passenger traffic.
