In Tashkent region, a teenager drowned in a river while trying to get a soccer ball

In the Tashkent region, a teenager went out to play football and did not return, after which his body was found in the river, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office Khayot Shamsutdinov reports.
According to the information, the incident occurred on December 7 in Chirchik. A 15-year-old local resident went out of the house to play football with his friends and then went missing. The next day, his father filed a missing person report with the Internal Affairs Department. Law enforcement officers have begun the investigation.
During the inspection, law enforcement officers determined that the teenager’s ball had fallen into the Chirchik River, and when the boy tried to reach it, he accidentally fell into the water and drowned. Later, law enforcement officers found his body in the river. Currently, an investigation is underway.
Earlier, it was reported that a young man drowned in a canal in Tashkent while trying to get his cap. His friend tried to save him, but he himself barely managed to get out.
