In Tashkent, a citizen discovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives while repairing a house, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported.
The incident occurred on December 2nd, when a citizen found weapons and ammunition in the building’s basement during repairs. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered one RGD-5 hand grenade, one TOZ-8 firearm, one IJ-27E firearm, an explosive device, five fuses for hand grenades, and one electric detonator with detonating cord.
Also, 546 units of various combat ammunition and 1100 rounds of pneumatic weapons ammunition and sharp cold objects were found. During the operative investigation, it was established that these weapons, ammunition, and explosives belonged to his deceased father. He served in various units of the Ministry of Defense and retired from the Academy of the Armed Forces.
If facts of illegal storage, carrying, or non-transfer of such funds are revealed, the person may be held liable under Article 248 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to two to five years imprisonment, — the statement said.
Recall that in Kashkadarya, 20 kg of drugs were found in the possession of a previously convicted man. The suspect was storing the prohibited substances for resale.
