A drug laboratory and a drug smuggling channel were shut down in Tashkent and the regions, the State Security Service press service reported.
Residents of Yashnabad district, born in 1999, and Kibray district, born in 2006, were detained in the Yunusabad district of the capital. In them, 507 tablets of “Pregabalin” and 52 bottles of “Tropikamid” were found. During a search of the rented apartment, law enforcement officers discovered that the detainees had organized a drug laboratory.
More than 4.3 kg of “Pregabalin” powder, 200 g of “Tropikamid”, 71 kg of chemical substances, as well as packaging materials were seized. The circulation of about 208 thousand doses was prevented. A criminal case has been initiated, and the suspects have been detained. They face 7 to 10 years in prison.
Another case was recorded at the “Bekobod-auto” customs post. The State Security Service and customs officers stopped an attempt to import more than 30 kg of opium from Tajikistan. The drugs were hidden in the fuel tank of a Cobalt car driven by a previously convicted resident of the Termez district, born in 1968. A criminal case has also been initiated against him. An investigation is underway.
In Surkhandarya and Namangan, officials and an operative were detained for large-scale bribery. The guilty are threatened with long prison terms.
