In the Khorezm region, law enforcement officers detained a senior operative of the Operational-Investigative Service of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs, the press service of the State Security Service reports.
The detainee promised a citizen through his high-ranking acquaintances in the khokimiyat to obtain permission to build a house on a 12-sotok plot of land in Khiva, which was originally allocated for farming. He was caught red-handed while receiving $30,000.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 4, Clause “a” (Fraud committed on an especially large scale) and Article 211, Part 3, Clause “a” (Giving a bribe) through Article 28. He was arrested.
Recall that a previously convicted lawyer was caught taking a bribe in Tashkent. The lawyer promised the citizen to mitigate the punishment in the criminal case through his acquaintances.
