Information has spread on social media that starting in 2026, vehicles with red and yellow eco-stickers may be fined for entering “ecological zones”. The Ecology Committee commented on the incident.
The responsible authorities refuted this information. It is reported that fines within the framework of the “Environmental Transport” system will be introduced from 2028. The Committee reminded that 2026 is a period of implementing the system, informing drivers, and forming an ecological culture.
No one will be fined in 2026. During this period, each driver will be able to improve the technical condition of their car, — the message says.
As a reminder, Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for issuing environmental stickers for vehicles. Transport will be divided into three categories depending on the ecological class.
