Uzbekistanis advised against protesting in Nepal
In an emergency, you may contact the republic's embassy in New Delhi.

On 9 September, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India issued an appeal to our compatriots in Nepal.
Large-scale protests, unrest, and clashes between protesters and law enforcement agencies are raging in the country due to the authorities’ initiative to massively block foreign social networks. Two days later, the president and prime minister resigned, and protesters set fire to their residences, seized a government quarter and a prison in the suburb of Kathmandu. The death toll is in the tens, the injured in the hundreds.
On social media, the events were dubbed the “Z Generation Revolution”, as the blocking of social networks prompted the younger generation to take active action.
Against this backdrop, the embassy urges Uzbek citizens in Nepal not to protest, to avoid crowded places, and to comply with local rules and laws.
In case of an emergency, you can contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in New Delhi by phone: +91 94994 85962 (Telegram/WhatsApp). The phone is available around the clock, — the message says.
