Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for authorizing transplantation

Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for issuing medical conclusions for transplantation, as well as the conditions under which such conclusions may be refused, according to a government decree.

According to the information, to obtain the document, the recipient and the living donor must undergo a medical examination within 3 months. Based on the results of the examination and the conclusion of medical personnel, the medical council of state medical institutions issues a corresponding conclusion.

In particular, the council will issue a medical opinion on the necessity of transplanting human organs or tissues to the recipient and on the suitability of the donor for transplantation. At the same time, in cases where the transplantation procedure causes harm to a person, causing loss of sight, speech, hearing, mental disorders, or permanent loss of working capacity by more than 33%, the issuance of a conclusion will be refused.
