In Uzbekistan, starting from 2026, a single QR code will be introduced for accepting electronic payments for all legal entities engaged in trade, according to a government decree.
According to the information, the authorities plan to implement the corresponding QR code by the end of 2025. Furthermore, starting from 2026, all legal entities in the trade and service sector will be required to accept electronic payments through a single QR code generated by banks.
At the same time, starting from July 1, 2026, acceptance of payments through the single QR code system will become mandatory for all legal entities in the field of trade and services, and its absence will be considered a violation of trade rules.
It should be noted that from 2026, a number of payments in Uzbekistan can be made using bank cards or electronic payment systems. The document provides for a reduction of the shadow economy in GDP by 1.3 times, as well as an increase in the share of non-cash payments of the population in trade and services to 75%.
