In the Bostan district, DXX officers detained the deputy khokims for investments and agriculture. They are suspected of corruption.

According to the investigation, the officials reached an agreement and demanded 65 million soums from the entrepreneur for “closing” the farm’s $500,000 export plan through fictitious operations.

In August, the deputy khokim for agriculture received 25 million soums in advance, and when transferring the remaining 40 million through an investment colleague, they were caught red-handed.

A criminal case has been initiated against them under Article 210 (“bribery”) of the Criminal Code, and both have been detained.

Earlier, it was reported that two police officers in the Tashkent region were caught taking a bribe. The accused handed the detainee a mobile phone and organised a meeting with his acquaintance.
