In Tashkent, increased monitoring of dust formation at construction sites has begun, the press service of the capital’s administration reports.
The City State Architectural and Construction Supervision Inspectorate has begun daily monitoring of all construction sites, including mandatory irrigation of territories and access roads to prevent dust.
The administration noted that regular soil moistening is a scientifically based measure: moist surfaces retain fine particulate matter, preventing them from being lifted by wind and machinery, thereby reducing the level of PM particles in the air and protecting nearby residential areas.
Earlier, it was reported that irrigation began to be used in Tashkent to combat air pollution.
