Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States — the main thing

The leader of our country proposed to establish a Permanent Council on Economic Partnership, as well as to adopt a Cooperation Program with international and national financial institutions.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States and proposed the creation of a Permanent Council for Economic Cooperation of Turkic States, as well as put forward a number of key initiatives aimed at strengthening unity and enhancing the role of the Turkic world in world politics, economics, and humanitarian spheres, the presidential press service reports.

During his speech, the head of state noted that the country considers the development of trade and economic relations and the deepening of industrial cooperation as the main direction. In this regard, for the consistent development of practical cooperation and the development of specific projects, the President proposed to establish a Permanent Council of Turkic States for Economic Cooperation.

The President noted that the Council’s Project Office could be located in Tashkent. At the same time, it was emphasized that this structure should be managed by the Deputy Prime Ministers of the countries and should operate on a permanent basis. In addition, the leader of our country initiated the holding of the first joint meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the heads of the special services of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand to agree on approaches to regional and global security issues.

The President also supported the speedy adoption of the Treaty on Strategic Partnership, Eternal Friendship and Brotherhood and proposed to develop the Strategy for the Development of the Organization of Turkic States until 2030 and a separate “road map”. In addition, the president proposed the creation of an Expert Group on organic agriculture and promoting a single brand of Turkic organic products on the world market.

In the economic sphere, the leader of our country proposed expanding the activities of the Turkic Investment Fund and adopting a Cooperation Program with international and national financial institutions, and also put forward an initiative to create a Space of New Economic Opportunities, including the creation of the Industrial Alliance of Turkic States, the “Turkic Green Corridors” system, and the “Green Transformation” consortium.

In the field of technology, the president also proposed to adopt a “Roadmap for Artificial Intelligence and Creative Economy”. The head of state, paying attention to art, put forward the idea of holding an International Exhibition of the Turkic World in Uzbekistan, as well as organizing an international conference “The Works of Nizami Ganjavi and Alisher Navoi in the Spiritual Life of the Turkic World” in 2026.

In addition, the President proposed an Action Plan to combat extremist and radical ideology and an initiative on environmental education of youth to prevent the spread of alien and destructive ideas among young people.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan advocated for the unity of the “Turkic world”. The Republic is promoting projects to transform the Organization of Turkic States.
