In Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology will be dissolved
Two new committees will operate in place of the current body.
In Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology will be abolished and two new organizations will be created on its basis, whose tasks will be expanded, according to the presidential decree.
The Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology will be reorganized, and the Ministry of Ecology will be removed from the Cabinet system, and on their basis, the Tourism Committee and the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change will be established, while maintaining staff positions. The position of Advisor to the President on Ecology — Chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change will also be introduced.
Among the tasks of the new Committee on Ecology, along with the main tasks of the former ministry, the implementation of nationwide projects “Waste-Free Territory”, “Clean Air”, “Green Space”, “Eco-culture” and “Bioheritage” will also be included. Also, an “Ecoproject Factory” will be created under the committee, which will attract up to 15 foreign and domestic experts.
