In Uzbekistan, “salary slavery” will be abolished — basic information
The Central Bank was instructed to develop a special mechanism.

In Uzbekistan, they want to abolish “salary slavery” and allow employees to choose their own bank for salary, according to a presidential decree.
According to the information, by December 2025, the Central Bank will prepare a mechanism that will allow citizens to independently choose a bank or payment provider to receive wages. It is planned to abandon the practice where employees are required to receive salaries through a bank chosen by the employer.
For this, managers will be given the opportunity to send salary transfers to several banks at once, which will completely remove employees’ attachment to one financial institution. It is planned that this will create competition between banks and payment systems and expand the capabilities of clients.
Earlier, it was reported that all officially employed Uzbek citizens would receive social benefits. The President gave instructions on the digitalization of the insurance system.
