In Khorezm region, garbage collection tariffs have increased

From November 7, the cost of household waste removal will increase in the Khorezm region, according to a decision of the regional council of people’s deputies.

According to the document, the tariff for one resident is set at 6,700 soums. For legal entities, the cost will be 74,060 soums, and for self-delivery of solid household waste to the landfill — 21,600 soums per cubic meter.

All amounts are indicated including VAT. The decision shall enter into force from the date of its publication.

Recall that in Uzbekistan, more than a thousand citizens complained about poor waste removal. Responsible organizations violated the waste collection schedule while demanding payment from citizens.

For example, in the Syrdarya region, due to non-compliance with the waste collection schedule, the organization has accumulated a large amount of waste. But at the same time, citizens paid for the services for its export.
