A presidential advisor on environmental issues and the chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change have been appointed in Uzbekistan, according to a presidential decree.
According to the information, Aziz Abduhakimov has become the president’s new advisor on ecology and chairman of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change. In connection with this, he was dismissed from the post of Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the new advisor will lead the current activities of the Committee on Ecology, which will be created on the basis of the Ministry of Ecology. The Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology will be reorganized, and the Ministry of Ecology will be removed from the Cabinet system, and on their basis, the Tourism Committee and the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change will be established, while maintaining staff positions.
