A fund for the construction and repair of social sector institutions will appear in Uzbekistan, which will finance repair and construction work in various institutions, Norma reports.
According to the information, the fund will appear under the Ministry of Economy and Finance. 50% of its sources will be from the country’s executive authorities, and another 2 trillion soums will be received from the State Social Protection Fund under the National Social Protection Agency in 2025.
In addition, other funds not prohibited by law will be directed there. It is planned that the fund will finance the construction of new schools, the reconstruction of existing educational institutions, as well as equipping them with modern equipment and strengthening their material and technical base.
Earlier, it was reported that eco-zones would be created in Uzbekistan, where the circulation of plastic products would be prohibited. In addition, the construction of industrial facilities will be prohibited in these territories, the draft law has been sent to the Senate for consideration.
