The head of the district Emergency Situations Department in Jizzakh region was caught taking a bribe
The official demanded money from a businessman to process construction documents.

In Jizzakh region, the head of the district Department of Emergency Situations was caught receiving a bribe and abusing his official position, the State Security Service press service reported.
According to the department, the official demanded $200 from the entrepreneur to approve the project documentation for the multi-story building. Later, the businessman approached him with a request to approve the project for a private school he wanted to build next to the new residential building. This time, the head of the district Department of Emergency Situations demanded a bribe of 6 million soums.
The official was detained while receiving money through his wife. A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Article 210 (taking a bribe), part 2, clauses “a” and “v”. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
As a reminder, a district deputy governor was caught taking a large bribe in Andijan. The official suggested to the citizen to illegally register a plot of land.
