Law enforcement officers discovered a large batch of drugs in Tashkent region
The substances were smuggled into the country, and the search for those involved in the crime began.

In the Tashkent region, law enforcement officers found drugs left by drug couriers in a hidden area, UzA reports.
The incident occurred in the Zangiota district. 10 packages containing the narcotic substance “opium” with a total weight of 4 kilograms 956 grams, previously left by drug couriers, were found in the secret location. The find was documented in the presence of witnesses. It is reported that such types of narcotic drugs are smuggled into the country from abroad.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 5 (Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale) and necessary measures are being taken to identify the perpetrators.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan would protect the nation’s gene pool from drugs. The President approved the draft National Program of Comprehensive Practical Actions to Prevent and Combat Drug Crimes.
